The weather will be fairly cold at around 10C and colder in the evenings and early mornings. This venue is set up for freezing temperatures so we will be cosy throughout- just make sure to bring suitable warm clothes and footwear.

Working with Local Specialists

Sauna Ritual

Our sauna ritual will be led by Lukas Gužauskas. This is a four-season experience in a Baltic white sauna house on site:

1st round. Winter: The sauna is ‘tamed’ through the sensation of the Earth element - odour by using aromatherapy.

2nd round. Spring: For pealing old skin by using natural scrubs prepared by the sauna master.

3rd round. Summer: Bathing brushwood and hot steam pasodoble to warm the joints. After this round, we’ll invite you to take a swim in the lake Didysai Šiaurys.

4th round. Autumn: also known as Barchart when the skin is gently nourished with a duo of cocoa/coffee and honey.

Sound Immersion with Gongs

Led by Gong Master Raimondas Binkauskas, we will be immersed in the world of sound.

This is a meditative experience that can soothe, energise or transport us to other realms, with the otherworldly sounds and vibrations from Gongs and sound bowls.

Guided Forest Walk

Andrėjus Gaidamavičius, forester, biologist and geologist, known as Labanoro Vilkas or Wolf of Labanor knows the area like the back of his hand. He will be guiding us through the native Labanoras Forest and inviting us to get to know the plants, mushrooms and animals typical of the area.

Food by Lithuanian Chefs

We are really excited to be fed during the retreat by the Šiaurys cooks, local women from the Labanoras Forest, who will prepare home-cooked food using in-season, local products. Expect typical Lithuanian meals with meat and diary, though specific dietary requirements can be accommodated for, just let us know your needs.

If you are looking to reconnect with your inner wild amongst the magic of nature - this is the retreat for you

FAQs

Meet your retreat hosts

For the past eight years, Charlotte has been guiding retreats as both a facilitator and chef, helping people slow down, reconnect with nature and realign with what truly matters. Trained in Ayurveda, Yoga, Pilates, Advanced Stretch and Forest Therapy, she weaves together ancient wisdom and modern movement modalities to support overworked, burnt out and disconnected bodies and minds.

Charlotte’s approach is rooted in the power of simplicity, using food as medicine, herbs as remedies, connecting mindful movement with deep rest, and living in alignment with the seasons. She spends her time in between retreats, working 1:1 with clients, growing her own medicinal herbs, being outdoors as much as possible, creating tinctures and moving with intention.

As an Ayurvedic practitioner, movement coach and retreat facilitator, Charlotte travels the world sharing her work, though her heart belongs to the wild beauty of the Essex marshland that she calls home.

Amber is an Essex based environmental scientist, forager and wild cook exploring ways for people to reconnect with nature, both in wild and urban green spaces.

Amber’s interests lie in plant and folklore, how we use plants and how this shapes our relationships to the landscapes we inhabit.

Amber continues to explore her own deep-healing journey outdoors through foraging and gardening, guided by the seasons, understanding how the natural world can ground us and impact our sense of wellbeing. Part of this work is through strengthening the community’s connection with local plants by teaching plant identification and focusing on wild edible plants through guided foraging walks, workshops and culinary experiences.
