Why you need to switch lemon for LIME

This one causes some serious debate in clinic, but the long and short is lemon is acidic and heating for the body and takes a much longer time to become alkaline in our bodies than our friend, LIME.

This means if you are someone who suffers with acid reflux, are a hot person or have an infection or inflammation, choose lime instead. Lime is alkaline and so a much better choice for most people, especially as much in our diet, environment and lifestyle is actually pretty inflammatory without us necessarily even knowing it!

So, why not start your day with hot/ warm water and lime? This can be a great way to neutralise the digestive tract and to help flush through the system, kick starting your digestion and helping encourage your first bowel movement.
